Tension

Low buildings lose competitions to tall drawings. Architecture that keeps its head down, pavilions, courts, planting, has to win on atmosphere and ground-level truth, because it will never win on skyline. The images had to make modesty read as intent.

Approach

The garden court leads, and the eye stays low: the sequence walks between the pavilions at the height a visitor would, ending on the built edge where material meets planting. Languedoc light.
